“who” and “when” it was made, “by whom” it was held and passed on etc.

茶道具にはそれぞれドラマがあります。
「誰」によって、「いつ」作られ、その後「誰」が持っていたのか。など、

Traditional techniques embedded
Beautiful decorative applied
Unique and high end designs of each era etc. Ways to enjoy is limitless.

歴史がつまったものや、
伝統的な技法が施されたものや、
きれいな絵柄が描かれているものなど、
デザイン性で優れているものなど、楽しみ方は様々です。

The hospitality of the host “Omotenashi” is embedded in each equipment precisely selected and thougtfully prepared
according to the guest, season, theme of each event “Cha kai”
The guests can appreciate, cherish this day
just by imagining and ponder on the implications of the host.

亭主のおもてなしの形はまず茶道具です。茶会のテーマや季節に合わせ、亭主はお客様への想いを茶道具に込めます。茶道具に込められた思いを紐解くだけでも、亭主の想いを感じ取ることが出来ます。

The “tea ceremony” you may know as “sweets & tea” is actually only a part of “Cha-ji” a day long course event.

お菓子を食べて、抹茶を飲む。皆さんが知っている茶の湯。実は、「茶事」という4時間くらいかかる本来のお茶の一部を切り取ったものなのです。

enjoying a cuisine course along with Sake, served with dessert and Matcha.
This is the original formal shape of hospitality in “tea ceremony”
The host cooks prepares the food as well!

お庭を通り、席入りをして、お料理を食べ、お酒を酌み交わし、お菓子を食べて、抹茶を飲む。
これが本来のおもてなしの最高の形です。
料理も亭主が作るのです！

The KYOTO can introduce the full course “Cha-ji” optionally,
but basically we will intoduce “sweets & Matcha”
so you may experience Tea more casually
and we will explaing about Tea as much as possible during your experience.

The KYOTOでは、御茶事の流れなどもご紹介しますが、基本的にはお菓子と抹茶をいただいてもらうという内容になります。時間を掛けて、詳しく丁寧にご説明しますので、気軽にご参加いただけます。

Hopefully we can entertain you by introducing the authentic equipments and create more fans of Tea.
